As a school psychologist and former special eduction teacher, I have always had a passion for helping individuals with disabilities build upon their social and life skills. I believe that finding acceptance in a social circle is important for an individual’s self-worth and confidence. I love how the Friends Connect Foundation fosters quality relationships with peers by offering an inclusive community based environment where teens without disabilities act as role models for their peers with disabilities encouraging and engaging in valuable social interactions.
